Audi has been one of the most successful German car manufacturers in the premium segment for years and combines sportiness, high quality and progressiveness in its vehicles.

Vorsprung through technology

All over the world, Audi's famous "four rings" are known as the symbol of the car manufacturers Horch, Audi, Wanderer and DKW, which merged to form Auto Union AG in 1932. The first Audi brand car appeared there in 1965 under the name F103. Only the subsequent models are designated according to their engine. The company's development thus picks up speed rapidly:

• In 1968 the then VW Chairman of the Board Heinrich Nordhoff agrees to the future joint production of the newly developed Audi 100.
• In 1971 the brand was advertised for the first time with the slogan 'Vorsprung durch Technik'.
• By 1986 at the latest, the German car manufacturer had made a name for itself with its legendary commercial in which the then brand-new Audi Quattro drove up a snow-covered ski jump.

Since then, Audi AG, based in Ingolstadt, has stood for innovation, progressiveness and the highest quality.
